I am a social psychologist (PhD) specialised in user experiences. I  work as a Lead Service Designer at Futurice where I lead service creation projects and coach big corporations with Lean Service Creation (LSC). My aim is to help the iterative, transparent, & human-centric culture to flourish in all levels of organisations. I also teach new modes of thinking at the Open University.

Before joining Futurice I worked with multidisciplinary teams on a range of topics related to user experience (the academic publications are listed here). That work resulted also in my PhD The Social Mediation of Everyday User Experiences which I succesfully defended in December 2015.

Alongside research I have quite a bit of experience of teaching, advising, and talking on topics related to social psychology and user experience. For example, I have given talks  at Tubecon and Slush.  My work has been featured also in the media (see for example Yle, Taloussanomat and Tekniikka & Talous).

My passion is to turn complexity into accessibility and to design services that are sustainable in every way possible. In terms of research I’m fascinated about boredom and intimacy in mediated contexts.
